LOMO 1918 was made in the former USSR in the period of 1964- 1972. This is universal cardioid studio microphone with valve amplifier. The amplifier is made on miniature low-noise triode 6S6B. The capsule as far as its construction is concerned - repeats the famous NEUMANN capsule type ¹¯² ...- 5 made for NEUMANN CMV-3 (Telefunken L- 302/2) microphones. The large gold covered membrane Æ 33mm is glued along its perimeter to massive brass electrode. From the rear the capsule has regulating brass cover. Due to such construction of the capsule there was achieved soft microphone sound.

The microphone is supplied in set with PSU BP-2 switchable for both 110V and 220V.
